Dr Marium Tariq

Dr. Marium Tariq is a Family Physician with special interest and training in Obesity Medicine. Dr. Tariq is well known for her compassion for treating Chronic medical conditions with special focus on Preventive Care, Children and Women’s health.

Dr. Tariq carries designation of American Board of Obesity Medicine and is very passionate to treat Obesity and its complications in her patient population. She runs MD supervised weight Management Program at My Choice Health with a multidisciplinary approach to treat this chronic health condition.

Dr. Tariq is a member of CCFP; Canadian College of Family Physicians, AAFP; American Academy of Family Physicians and Obesity Canada. Dr. Tariq carries designations of Diplomat of American Board of Family Medicine as well as Diplomat of American Board of Obesity Medicine after completing necessary training requirements to attain these designations.

Dr. Tariq has special interest in teaching medical students. She is an Assistant Clinical Professor (Adjunct) in the Dept. of Family Medicine at Mc Master University Health Sciences. She has been awarded with Resident Teacher award, Penn State University, PA USA. She is a dedicated preceptor, teaching students from Western University and McMaster University for last several years. 

Dr. Tariq Currently holds independent practice license with The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and Medicine License in state of Michigan, USA.
